Helping develop Healthy habits to children

Helping your child to Develop Healthy Habits in their early stage will give them a lifelong benefit. As parents, you must teach them to evaluate their food choice and physical activity habits. Here are some tips:

1. Being a Good role model:
Kids grow seeing you. You don’t have to be perfect all the time, but if kids see you trying to eat right and getting physically active, they’ll take notice of your efforts.

2. Keeping thinks Positive:
Rather telling kids what they can’t do, tell them what they can do as they might not like that. Always celebrate success and motivate to do so.

3. Encourage activities that they’ll really enjoy:

Every child is unique. Let them decide what activities they love to do. You could be a supporting hand for the activity which your child good in and motivate them to do so.

4. Limitation:

Always limit the time for TV, video games, and computers. These habits lead to a sedentary lifestyle and excessive snacking, which increase risks for obesity and cardiovascular disease. Limit screen time to 2 hours per day.

5. Dinner Time must always be a Family time:

If everyone sits at the same time, there is always a less chance for kids to eat wrong foods or snacking too much. Never talk about office work or other serious topics. At least ask for any good or bad thing he/she has done from the morning.

6. Family walk:

Always take a time to walk with your family. Take walks, ride bikes, go swimming, garden or just play hide-and-seek outside. Everyone will benefit from the exercise and the time together.

7. Benefiting Rewards:

Don’t reward your kid with TV Video games, mobile phones instead give them some useful stuff. Find other ways to celebrate good behavior.

8. Setting Goals:

Setting realistic goals and limits are key to adopting any new behavior. Small steps and gradual changes can make a big difference in your health over time, so start small and build up.
