Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev had to have a quick brain surgery at a local hospital. According to the hospital’s announcement on Wednesday. The surgery happened on March 17 to deal with some bleeding in his skull. Later he was taken off the ventilator successfully after the surgery was over. The Indraprastha Apollo Hospital shared that he’s been getting better steadily. His brain activity, overall health, and vital signs have all been improving.

A statement also surfaced from the Isha Foundation, where they said that Sadhguru faced a serious health crisis recently. He suffered from several brain bleeds, which caused severe headaches and led to his hospitalization. He underwent an emergency brain surgery on March 17 at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and is now recovering well. Also, Guru’s neurosurgeon, Dr Vinit Suri from Apoolo Hospital revealed that the surgery was required due to a ‘life-threatening bleed in his brain. He stated ‘ “A few days ago, Sadhguru underwent brain surgery after life-threatening bleeding in the brain. Sadhguru is recovering very well, and the team of doctors who performed the surgery say his condition is improving beyond expectations,”

The most note-worthy thing is that for the past four weeks, he had been enduring intense headaches. But despite the pain, he carried on with his usual routine, including social activities, and even led the Maha Shivaratri function on March 8, as mentioned in the statement. However, when, his headache had gotten worse by March 15, he consulted Dr. Vinit Suri, the hospital’s senior neurologist, over the phone. Dr. Suri suspected a subdural hematoma and recommended an urgent MRI. The spiritual leader had an MRI on the same day, which revealed significant bleeding in his skull.
