Israel issues travel advisory for citizens due to incumbent ‘hostility’

Israel warned its people on Friday to think twice before leaving the country and to be extra careful if they have already left, citing a rise in anti-Semitic sentiment in the wake of the ongoing battle with Hamas in Gaza.

Since Israel began its campaign in Gaza, a joint statement from the prime minister’s office and the foreign ministry stated that there has been a considerable increase in life-threatening attacks, antisemitism, and incitement in numerous nations.

Israel published a “highest level travel warning” for the Dagestan area of Russia on Monday after hundreds of Dagestanis, primarily young males, went on the rampage through an airport terminal building and onto the tarmac in search of Jewish passengers who had just arrived on a flight from Tel Aviv.

In Europe and the Middle East, anti-Israel demonstrations have been triggered by Israel’s aerial, ground, and maritime assault of Gaza.

According to Gaza’s health officials, since Israel began its attack in retribution for Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, which claimed 1,400 lives and was the worst day in Israel’s 75-year history, at least 9,227 Palestinians have died.
