Raghav Chadha, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and actress Parineeti Chopra got hitched today in Udaipur. While the couple’s friends and relatives travelled in for the lavish destination Wedding, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti’s cousin, and the director Karan Johar were unable to attend. Due to a family situation, filmmaker Karan Johar, who was scheduled to arrive at the wedding venue on Sunday along with fashion designer Manish Malhotra, was unable to attend.

According to a person close to Karan, as reported by Zoom TV, “Karan had every intention to attend the wedding as he is very fond of both Parineeti and Raghav. He was set to fly down to Udaipur on Sunday when a family emergency forced him to cancel the intended wedding festivities. Sad, because he had planned all his clothes for the functions so elaborately.”

In addition to Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra’s cousin, missed the wedding celebrations. However, her mother Madhu Chopra arrived in Udaipur on Friday and has since actively participated in all wedding-related events. On Saturday, Priyanka Chopra shared a note on Instagram, “I hope you are as happy and as content as this on your big day little one…Always wishing you so much love…#Newbeginnings.”

Designer Manish Malhotra and best friend Sania Mirza of the bride-to-be arrived in Udaipur this afternoon to take part in the festivities.

Proceeding to the wedding, this afternoon, Groom Raghav Chadha travelled with his baaraat to the Leela Palace in a boat with curtains. White flowers were used as decorations, and there were drapes all over the boat. The wedding celebration for Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha will take place tonight in Udaipur.

Navraj Hans’ live band played for the couple’s Bollywood sangeet that happened last night. Rabri, jalebi, panipuri, maggi, and other dishes were on the menu for the occasion. Additionally, cassettes with personalised inscriptions that reflected each wedding guest’s personality were distributed to the attendees.
