Fresh OTT releases this week, from romance to action

Here’s is a weekly edition of the fresh arriving OTT releases, offering a blend of films and TV episodes to watch to satisfy all your bingeing requirements. The Continental: From the World of John Wick gives a glance of organisation of assassins and focuses on Winston Scott’s origin story. Sex Education returns for its fourth and final season. Kareena Kapoor Khan makes her digital debut with Jaane Jaan alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.

Love Again (September 20)

Love Again, an English translation of the 2016 German film SMS für Dich, is a touching romantic comedy-drama that captures Mira Ray’s (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) struggles to deal with the loss of her fiancé. She chooses to send frequent amorous messages to his phone in an effort to cope with the hurt, not realising that it has been transferred to Rob Burns (Sam Heughan).

Jaane Jaan (September 21)

This Sujoy Ghosh-directed film, which is adapted on the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino, marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s OTT debut. She portrays Maya D’Souza, a single mother in Kalimpong who finds herself in a difficult situation when her violent ex-husband appears out of the blue. As a Mumbai detective (Vijay Varma) hunts for him, Maya enlists the assistance of her neighbour Naren (Jaideep Ahlawat) in an attempt to cover up the death of her ex-spouse.

Sex Education season 4 (September 21)

Sex Education rebounds for its last season with Otis and the group for one more hurrah. As Maeve begins her studies at Wallace University in America following the closing of Moordale Secondary School in season 3, the characters struggle to adjust to life at Cavendish Sixth Form College.

Cassandro, a biographical drama film from the United States, transports you to the early 1980s when homosexual wrestler Saul Armendáriz (Gael Garca Bernal) often makes the journey from El Paso, Texas, to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to compete in lucha libre matches. Sal, who competes under the ring name El Topo, encounters Sabrina, a new trainer, and his life is forever altered.

When intruders come from another planet, how should one respond to the situation? When dangerous aliens upend Brynn Adams’ (Kaitlyn Dever) quiet existence in the suburbs, she is forced to answer this very question. Spy Kids: Armageddon (September 22)

The kids must train to be spies in order to save their parents and the entire planet when they unintentionally help a powerful game developer release a computer virus that grants him control over all technology.

Best friends Lisa (Antonia Thomas) and Danny (Craig Roberts), who both suffer from severe insomnia, stay up late and share a fantasy world when everyone else is sleeping. However, the impact of their disease begins to disrupt their relationships with those in their life.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick (September 22)

The Continental, which is set in the 1970s, delves into the assassin-filled world of the John Wick films and tells the story of Winston Scott (Colin Woodell).
