The actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently travelled via car. With movie producer Jagadish Palanisamy by her side, she has been posting snippets of her travels on Instagram. She stopped at the Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple, suggesting that she may be on a spiritual journey.
The actor posted a picture of a highway taken from her moving vehicle as she left throughout the day. Road trip, she captioned the photo. She also provided a glimpse of her travel playlist, which had songs like Melliname by Harish Raghavendra and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.
Samantha uploaded a snapshot from inside the Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple after arriving there. She also included a selfie she apparently took with Jagadish after visiting the shrine to ask for blessings. The producer chose a white shirt, while the actor donned an orange salwar.
The news of Samantha’s hiatus from acting was followed by her road trip. Samantha is taking a break from acting for at least a year after wrapping up the filming of Citadel’s Indian chapter. Although she is looking forward to this break, a source close to the star said she will be concentrating on her health and receiving treatment for her autoimmune condition myositis in the US.
Samantha’s hairstylist Rohit Bhatkar wrote, “2 years. 1 sensational music video. 3movies. 7 brand campaigns. 2 editorials. And lifetime of memories. We saw it all from sunny days to rainy days, From tears of joy and laughter to tears of pain and agony. From being confident to being vulnerable, From our highs to our lows and then back up. What a beautiful ride it has been with you. Certainly one to remember.”
“As you now go on a healing journey I wish you more strength and power to you. And that you unfold certain dimensions of your existence which you never tapped on up until now. Upwards and onwards. Big hug and lots of love to you Sam! Remember that ‘you are that wild flower which grew even after the forest fire’. Know that we will all be waiting for you to come back even stronger than ever,” the note read.
Next up for Samantha is Kushi, her second Telugu movie with star Vijay Deverakonda. Following Mahanati in 2018, it represents their on-screen comeback. Release day is September 1.
