Makeup products has been a part and parcel of many people’s life. Especially there are specified professions like media and modelling which requires people to deck themselves with Makeup almost every day. Adding to it the tribe of makeup lovers often tend to experiment with products to save time while also been able to create the magic with it. However, there are some viral tips which worsens skin condition and does more harm than good. Dr Aanchal Panth addressed these mistakes that people have generalized as quick tips and shared on Instagram to stay aware.

- Using lip liners on waterline of your eye: Several influencers have tried the hack to use lip liners on the waterline of eyes, however it is harmful as suggested by the expert. She recommended that lip liner contain a long-lasting pigmentation which is not suitable for your eyes as it can cause irritation. “Limit your use of Kajal if you have dark circles where the skin is hyperpigmented,” she says.
- Substituting blush with lipstick: One of the highly used hack used by makeup influencers and others is using lipstick as a substitute for blush. It has been suggested that “dark colored lipstick or liquid matte lipsticks” should be avoided as a substitute for blush because “they contain darker pigment meant for lips.” She adds “Use a powder blush instead or a light-coloured cream blush which is easy to blend, “light-coloured cheek tint is ok to use.”
- Dabbing soap on brows: The expert recommended that using this hack to make “hair strokes prominent and to set them in place” tends to weaken the roots and make them fall eventually, so one must skip this tip.
