Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh started dating when Neetu was 17 only. After getting married with Rishi Kapoor in 1980 she became housewife and left Bollywood industry. Actually, when the film Karz released, the same time film Rocky also got released and leading actress of both the films was Tina Munim. Sanjay Dutt thought that Rishi had an extra marital affair with his then-girlfriend Tina Munim.

Sanjay Dutt was possessive, he failed to control his anger and made a plan with Gulshan Grover to beat Rishi Kapoor. Sanjay was drunk when he was heading towards Rishi’s residence. In between the way, Neetu Singh accidentally met Sanjay Dutt. He told her about Rishi and Tina’s affair, on which she said its just a rumour and they are only good friends.

After got convinced by Neetu Singh, Sanjay backed off. Neetu was a good wife and girlfriend who always stood by her husband and even now. Neetu married Rishi Kapoor on January 22, 1980. After marriage she left working in the films and made a comeback after 26 years in 2009 with film Love Aajkal.
