Although Maine is the more north-eastern state, it really had an impact on the Civil War.  You can look at the Wiki article here or take a trip out to Casco Bay and see Fort Gorges, which was built in the Civil War but then never used!

It's truly an amazing place that could be used (with some safety features updated) for theatre, dance, performance art, film, photography, you name it.  One day I will take a group of models and photographers out there for a photo shoot!  Maybe I should make that a goal for 2020.

I was pleased as punch to be juried into a show to benefit the group that is trying to update the fort and keep it in good shape for future generations, if we do something about climate change now.  If you'd like more info on the Friends of Fort Gorges, click here.

In the meantime, come on out and see the art that has been created to help keep the fort afloat.  It's this Friday night from 5:30 to 7:30 at Arta, 223 US Rte 1 in Falmouth.
