Enclosing 3.9 million square feet, the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta is the fourth largest exhibitor space in North America. The GWCC is notable for its size, but also has the distinction of being one of the few US convention centers to have hosted Olympic events under its roof. During the 1996 Olympics the GWCC was the venue for Olympic weightlifting, handball and table tennis competitions.

Constructed in 1979, the GWCC is made up of three adjoining buildings that are connected via pedestrian footbridges. The facility features a total twelve exhibitor halls and 105 meeting rooms. The GWCC also features the Sidney Marcus auditorium capable of seating 1,740 and the 33,000 square-foot Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom. Other GWCC amenities include on-site FedEx Kinko’s services, and numerous coffee shops and dining options.

Travel options:

Centrally located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the GWCC is easily accessible from Atlanta’s interstate 20 and the interstates 75/85. The GWCC campus is also served by two Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority stations. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is one of the nation’s largest airports and is only a short cab ride from the convention center.

With nearly 94,000 hotel rooms in the Atlanta metropolitan area there are no shortage of exhibitor hotel accommodations. Expect to pay in the range of $150 to $225 per room depending on the location and amenities of the hotel.
