Matthew Roth- Senior Architect at HM DG
Matthew Roth is a senior architect at HM DG in Los Angeles, which is an architecture firm that focuses mostly on residential projects in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. HM DG has selected Kebony wood for several stunning projects now, so we wanted to hear from Roth what sets his firm apart and hear about his personal experience using Kebony.
HM DG is unique in its approach to a project, in that the designer and builder are often involved in the process from the very beginning all the way until the certificate of occupancy has been granted at the end. Roth is proud of the fact that HM DG has never lost a client, much of which can be attributed to the way the team listens to clients, and then puts their heart and soul into everything they work on. He says the firm gives their clients space to decide what they want before moving forward with something, and this ensures client satisfaction.
When asked what he loves most about his job, Roth stated that working with different clients is fun, and that each project is a new challenge. The unique outlooks of each client and their visions are exciting for him, and have highlighted the importance of flexibility when it comes to working with a variety of people. Roth “enjoys making peoples’ dreams come true”, by working with them throughout every step of the process. Interacting with people and seeing them get excited about their projects is rewarding.
Roth first used Kebony wood when it was recommended to him by a landscape architect who mentioned people were using it on marinas. He was sold on the product then, because he knew if it could hold up against salt water it would definitely be durable enough for the projects he is involved with.
