Prepare for fast progress in 2016 as the strong Yang Heaven Water forges ahead with great impetus and will keep up momentum for the majority of the year. The Rat and Monkey are key players this year and the Monkey is a Fire Monkey which means a lot of action in the money markets this year. 

The position of women in the world will be in focus and they will be called forth to stand for female empowerment even if this means facing some uncomfortable truths about previous passivity and a need to take more action. 

Financial gains will be possible this year, especially in the month of June. The Leader of the Year the Monkey, forms a powerful alliance to the Rat. 

The Black 2 star is in the centre of the Flying Star this year, so this isn’t the best of configurations, however, the forecast is based on a prism of different techniques that are all intertwined, and I see that the 2 will be weakened quite a lot this year with all the water and metal chi, so we shouldn’t be too worried about it and look to tap into its positive qualities of stability. Nothing in life is purely negative, and the same applies to the various portents we work with. The questions is where will you place your focus? On what could go wrong or what could go right? Being forewarned is indeed forearmed and allows us to steer our consciousness more effectively. In truth many people are not yet even aware they can influence their lives, which is why ancient skills such as calendar and horoscope are still much misunderstood and can promote a passive victimhood rather than empowerment. When correctly understood we see that these influences are there to teach us about the rich tapestry of life and help us see beyond the limitations and confines of the ego into the deep breathing matrix of life itself. Areas that are deforested will be very vulnerable to flooding this year. The tiger will continue to be under threat this year, so if you can afford to do so then give to a charity that protects tigers and other big cats. 

Supportive elements are wood and fire and earth. 

Unsupportive elements are water and metal as you don’t need any more of that element as it is already too strong. 

The Tiger is under pressure this year as he/she is against the T’ai Soi. 

What does the energy of a Monkey have to do with me? Sounds strange, right? The point is that the ancient Chinese cosmologists identified energetic characteristics of certain times and configurations of nature’s energy.  If you were born in the Year of the TIger, you might feel a little jumpy right now, crackling with energy as you are in a spicy opposition with the ruling energy of the year the Monkey. But if you are a Rat who naturally combines to the Monkey energy, then you will be feeling quietly excited.

General overview of the Year of the Fire Monkey 

The Ba Zi Chinese Horoscope of the year is strong water, with water and metal as avoid elements and wood, fire and earth as supportive elements.  This means that Spring and Summer and Late Summer should be productive but the winter and autumn could be overwhelming or frustrating. This also means in general that water and metal related industries won’t fare as well as wood, fire or earth ruled markets, products and services. Clearly, your individual chart will interact differently with the year and offer more bespoke detail and the Feng Shui of your home or office will have its own chi patterns. To get the best results from Chinese metaphysics it is always advisable to look not just at your space, but also your timing and your inner attitude and mindset as well.

How to work out your Chinese Animal sign?

For those of you born from in the months of January to November you take the year of your birth from the lists below, however, if you are born around the Winter Solstice i.e.. between 20 Dec to 31 Dec then you will belong to the following year for example, someone born on 26th December 2009 might think they are an Ox but in fact the energy of the year has renewed at Winter Solstice and now become the Tiger i.e.. 2010.  You do not work out from the Spring Festival dates in February as this is inaccurate.

Rat 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032, 2044

The Rat is assisted by The General and Merit Official this year which are two very auspicious stars to protect the rat in their ambitious dealings.  The strong water energy of the year suits the Rat and the Monkey provides a natural boost, so as long as they are organised the Rat should make great strides and allow themselves to actively look forward to career and financial success. Career is also looking very healthy and very vibrant this year. The only downside is that people might speak ill of you this year, but you will have learned by now through fallings out in previous years not to let them get to you this time. They are simply jealous of your drive and determination and are to be gracefully ignored.

Ox 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033, 2045

The Ox could find themselves unable to know what to do in life this year, unless they have a strong inner vision to pull them through. There is also a lot of illness surrounding the Ox too so they will need to take care of their health. Those who are spiritually evolved will thrive on the intense energy around them and divert it into powerful leadership.

Tiger 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, 2034, 2046

The Tiger is opposed to the Monkey leader of the year, so you need to wear red thread around your waist and invest in a protective jade charm – consult us to select a suitable jade charm for your unique horoscope. Depending on your type of Ba Zi chart (Eight Characters or Four Pillars) this year could bring the best out in you or see you thwarted and weakened.

In general though you might be better off simply actioning small yet necessary tasks, taking stock and doing ‘housekeeping’ type activities this year that depend more on your own efforts rather than heaven luck.  Don’t attempt anything too ambitious this year unless partnered with people of other animal signs in a “good fate”.

In fact, the T’ai Soi can be a real ‘pattern breaker’ of a year and help you find the motivation to break out of any traps in thinking or behaviour or in living situations and really follow your heart and go for your dreams.

There could also be illness in the Tiger or Tiger like animals this year.

If possible the Tiger should avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). It is also best to avoid dangerous places like cliff tops, building sites and dark alleyways.

The Golden Branches auspicious star should be useful to the Tiger this year in terms of creating financial success.

The Rabbit is surrounded by Big Fortune this year and will also likely travel a lot or create a hub where travellers come towards. Some subtle romance is also on the cards for the gentle Rabbit.

The Dragon is allied this year with the Rat and the Monkey, so should have a good year and create modest financial gains. However, they could experience some negative luck as well so it will be a mixed year. Try to make friends with a few Monkey and Rats this year, as you will also be able to help them complete their grand plans. Despite their challenges Dragons could still make good career progress this year.

The Snake can make good career or education progress this year. They will also have great official influence this year, so it could be a good year to look for speaking opportunities related to your career. Be careful though of losing your focus and losing the ability to influence your life. Practice mindfulness or you could risk making errors leading to great losses.

Horse 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954,1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026, 2038, 2050

The horse is a little challenged this year and must take care not to participate in any extreme sports as they have a Disaster Star with them all year. If they are sensible they can benefit from the positive influences of Magnificent Crown, particularly the female Horses and older women.

Sheep/Goat 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027, 2039, 2051

The Sheep has the Earth Curse this year which means it is advisable to avoid activities involving potholing or mountaineering. The Sheep could also find themselves stagnating a little bit and feeling a little bit stuck. Breathing exercises should help a little in alleviating this feeling of being blocked and stressed.

Monkey 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, 2028, 2040, 2052

The Monkey is the Leader of the Year and this boost in energy can be a great boon or a great strain depending on how aligned you are and also which type of Monkey you are – the Fire and Earth Monkeys will feel more comfortable than the Water, Wood or Metal Monkeys this year.  You too could feel blocked and stressed easily this year. Breathing exercises should help a little in alleviating this feeling of being blocked and stressed.

Rooster 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029, 2041, 2053

The Rooster is immersed in Big Fortune this year so they should create great success this year. They also have the positive Throne star, so will be able to gain prominence in their career. The Rooster also benefits from having the Throne to help them, so it would be a very good year to seek promotions or advancement in career. The only warning though is to take care not to become a workaholic, sexaholic or abuser of drugs this year as there is the influence of the Por Kwan star in the West, which is associated with excess.

The Dog will need to take care not to get ensnared by high wires or swing ropes this year and I would advise against wearing ties if you can help it. Supervise any children born in the year of the dog even more closely than usual if they are playing on swings or roped games, particularly if high up in trees or in adventure playground constructions.  Zip wiring would also be inadvisable and would rock climbing that relies upon systems of hooks and ropes.

Pig 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031, 2043

The Pig benefits from the Golden Box this year which will help with financial matters. The Pig also benefits from Heaven’s Palace this year and would benefit from learning deep breathing exercises to benefit the lungs. The Pig will be able to explore their leadership potential this year.
