Vernacular Dry Stone House at The Pyrenees by Eduardo Cadaval and Clara Solà-Morales

House at The Pyrenees is designed by Eduardo Cadaval and Clara Solà-Morales in a small village nested in the Pyrenees, Canejan, Catalonia, Spain. The Vernacular Dry Stone house is a comfortable residence that have two units on a single envelope. It features amazing views over the valley, while an identical window located on the top of the roof, enables to view the summit of the mountain. The house’s design respects not only the envelope, but also the historical values of vernacular architecture. New technologies and old vernacular knowledge are implemented to make the house sustainable even in an extreme climate.
