Following on from Abitalia's previous blog post on the Horm 'Riddled' Collection, we now introduce you to 'Ripples', design by Toyo Ito. Abitalia specialises in contemporary Furniture for both home, office and outdoor. The Ripples collection inhabits all three of these areas, bringing practicality as well as timeless design to all environments.

Ripples 'Like a River' (picture one) is a system of two modules suitable for public spaces where it's composition possibilities are endless. Released in 2011, this magnificent seat is carved with the greatest skills of craftsmanship. It is seamless to the eye, so it never breaks the elegant flow of wood, the hallmark of Toyo Ito's works around the world.

Over the last decade Ripples has blossomed into a collection of different furniture types. The wooden structures are made from five different solid woods; walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak and ash. The unique woodwork gives the effect of fluid motion, like that of a stone being tossed in water, hence the name Ripple.
