So, here's what we designed starting with the zinc dressers that flank the Fireplace.
However, any matching wood cabinets could substitute in other colors such as aged grey, reclaimed woods , black , pale aqua or a swedish grey-blue.
Even though they're labeled "dressers" they're not necessarily just for the bedroom. Our client can store board games, placemats, linens, home office supplies, hide Christmas gifts, store children's school art, etc....the possibilities are endless depending on a family's personal needs.
The fireplace elevation had alot going on. So when it came time to decide on what do you place on the mantel? Well, the need was apparent. The items needed to be simple and not fight with all the other elements on the shelves and dressers. We chose a simple metallic aged silver mirror above a piece of driftwood with succulents:
For a pop of aqua on this side of the room, we chose a standing mosaic platter
Our clients' other challenge was the placement of her existing pieces.
Drawing upon our Feng Shui beliefs, we positioned the sectional facing the front doorway, hugging the room, and facing the fireplace. Here's an overview of the layout, showing the fireplace on the top middle of the picture:
And this is the elevation facing the backyard, showing proposed linen curtains with a very cool vintage, reclaimed wood LOVE sign above the curtains:
We had alot of different accessories on our design board & if you're interested in seeing close ups of other items or pricing, then please check the coordinating links below the mood board.
