Last weekend's turn-out for the 17th annual East Hampton Antiques and Design Show was fantastic with 1,500 visitors attending over the weekend. This was my tenth year attending the gala, and it may have been one of my favorite years. There is no better setting for a festive summer evening in the East End as the historic Mulford Farm with gorgeous outbuildings, a windmill and meandering green lawn throughout the property. It's the perfect backdrop to showcase interesting and unique antiques. Designer and owner of the iconic home, Grey Gardens, Liz Lange hosted the kick-off party, and it was a fun time to do some early buying as well as chat with local designers and patrons. The ticket proceeds for the evening benefited the East Hampton Historical Society.
The weather mostly cooperated, and it was a glorious Opening Night followed by two sunny days, however, the show ended with a bang as rain poured down in East Hampton while vendors were closing up late Sunday afternoon. I am happy to share with you highlights from our visit, as well as highlights from a few of our favorite vendors.
