The New York Botanical Garden hosted the 2019 Orchid Dinner in the Plaza Hotel's ballroom on February 6, 2019.  With Veranda magazine as the media sponsor, the charity event helped to raise $500,000 to benefit the museum's orchid research. Nestled together in this gorgeous space were some of the prettiest tables, and created by the country's top interior and floral designers.  This year, the Singapore theme offered up a bevy of dream-like, tropical Table designs.  Each table was set for a luxurious evening of wining and dining, and it felt like Eloise took an exotic trip to Singapore.  The orchids will be on display in the New York Botanical Garden's Enid A. Haupt Conservatory until April 28, 2019.
Take a look at a few of our favorite designs...
1. Julia Buckingham Interiors + Design wielded her signature passion for color, and showcased root cellar designs' textiles on the table. Plates by Jonathan Adler, and flowers by Shula at Special Arrangement.
2. Event designer extraordinaire Colin Cowie created a sophisticated, restrained pouf of white orchids with sponsor Louis XIII Cognac
3. We appreciated the tremendous canary yellow orchid sculpture by NOIR hanna International- I was there during the installation and it was quite a feat to create this towering beauty!
4. We took a snap shot of this unusual perspective of the chair wrap drape on the table by Mitchell Hill design. The design duo from Charleston, South Carolina incorporated their southern charm into the table design with the smallest details including fresh-picked cotton incorporated into the orchid display! Linens by Style Library.
5. We loved the orchids incorporated into a fruit and flower cornucopia display on this charming table by the Mini Rose Co.
6. Brockschmidt & Coleman showed a bamboo fantasy with Quadrille and Leontine linens and beautiful hot pink orchids while taking inspiration from the Edwardian homes of Singapore.
Happy Nesting
