Design: The newest issue of Architectural Digest features a stunning home in Montecito, California designed by Atelier AM. It is, of course, perfectly curated and impossibly elegant. See the full tour here.

Style: Earlier this week, street style star Giorgia Tordini and business partner Gilda Ambrosio presented the Spring Summer 19 collection for their label, Attico at Milan Fashion Week. What could make the retro-leaning, super glamorous collection even better? Presenting it in a luxe apartment designed by the legendary Renzo Mongiardino whose pattern-driven interiors for Italy’s jet set prove to be the perfect match for the new Attico collection which you can view here.

Read: After all of my trips to Paris, I have only been to Versailles once. Last summer, when Fabian and I were in Paris, we decided to hire a private tour guide to take us to Versailles as well as Giverny to view Claude Monet’s former residence and gardens. Unfortunately, the day was a wash out! I had so been looking forward to seeing Versailles and exploring the beautiful gardens there, but the rain never stopped. I am really craving a trip to Paris again and am hoping we can squeeze one in in the fall in between the dates for my book tour. Perhaps we could venture to Versailles again and have better luck this time. Until then, I plan to delve into a new book that I just received, Versailles: A Private Invitation. Photographer Francis Hammond was granted unprecedented access to Versailles and gives us a very intimate look at the legendary chateau, taking us into parts of the palace that have been off limits to visitors including Marie Antoinette’s boudoir and the Salon d’Aurore. The photography is stunning and author Guillaume Picon shares fascinating details about French history and the French royal family throughout the book, ensuring that no detail has been missed. It is a must for any of my fellow Francophiles!

Watch: I was finally able to watch Call Me by Your Name while I was in New York a few days ago. I have been dying to see this, the latest film by director Luca Guadagnino who previously directed I am Love, one of my favorite films. Call Me by Your Name was even more beautiful than I had imagined. It is set in Northern Italy during the summer of 1983 and tells the coming of age story of its protagonist, 17 year old Elio played by Timothée Chalemet who finds himself drawn his professor father’s summer intern, a Ph.D. student named Oliver, played the thorougly charming Armie Hammer. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but the film has stuck with me all week. The story feels intimate to the point that you feel Elio’s hopefulness in the beginning as well as his heartbreak at the end of the summer. The scenery is beautiful; the characters supremely sophisticated; and the soundtrack is amazing. I’ve been listening to it all week and as soon as I finish the book I am currently reading, I am planning to read the original novel, Call Me by Your Name, on which the book is based.

Eat: We often make roast chicken at home. I find that I usually buy organic, free-range, air chilled chicken and have found myself wondering if it is really worth the big price difference or if “air chilled” is just a marketing ploy. It turns out, my instincts to go with the fancy chicken were right and according to this article by Bon Appetit about “The Best Chicken to Buy at the Grocery Store“.

Shop: I recently became obsessed with Lake Pajamas. Based in Savannah, the line is made from pima cotton which makes it incredibly soft and wrinkle resistant – perfect for travel or lounging around the house. They are the softest pajamas I own. Lake’s signature pattern is stripes, but they recently released their Midnight Collection with a dreamy star print. They’re currently having their Annual Sale, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on the best PJs around!
