Earlier this week, I learned via my friend Mark Sikes that Atelier AM finally has a website! It is unlikely that the creative duo behind Atelier AM, Michael and Alexandra Misczynski, truly need a website as they are among the top tier of designers in the country and have completed exquisitely beautiful projects for an enviable clientele. However, as a big admirer of their work, I am delighted that they’ve decided to launch one. Several of the projects on the website are featured in their first book, Interiors: Atelier AM, but a couple, including this beautiful Chicago house are new to me. Atelier AM are true masters of layering textures so beautifully. You won’t find a ton of pattern or color in their work, but they layer in interest through stunning silhouettes and textures. The results are incredibly beautiful and timeless. This particular residence in Chicago is glamorous and polished, with a sumptuous mix of textiles, furnishings and art of significant provenance, and beautiful drapery details.
