THIS PLACE presents a month of events and workshops to start a conversation about ‘this place’ (being Hull and the surrounding area), to begin to get to know it, warts and all – our unknown/unloved wild spaces, our collective traumas, our History, our mud, rivers, people, and ourselves. How does class, race, gender, power and inequality fit into/effect all that? How can we recconect and become a resillient and caring people in this place and time in history?

We hope that some longer lasting projects/groups will come out of it. The Launch Party is on Sat 11th June,  6pm – late at Ground HU3 1YE, with live music, poems, exhibition and more…  For the timetable of events go to
