There is a consultation period about the England Tree Strategy, with a deadline of 11th September 2020
A new England Tree Strategy will be published later this year and will set out policy priorities to deliver an ambitious tree planting programme. It will cover expanding, protecting and improving our woodlands, and how trees and woodlands can connect people to nature, support the economy, combat climate change and recover biodiversity.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is inviting views on the strategy at https://consult.defra.gov.uk/forestry/england-tree-strategy/consultation/subpage.2020-06-18.8820368597/
