China aiming for $46bn green bonds market in 2016

Although China's green bond scheme only began in 2015, the country is already planning a huge expansion of its green bond market in 2016 and in the years of its 13th Five-Year Plan. Chief economist of Research Bureau of People’s Bank of China (PBoC), Mr. Ma Jun, said that he expects China to issue green bonds in the value of RMB300bn ($46bn) by the end of 2016.
