1. Panda Algorithm : Early in 2011, Google launched Panda, a search results algorithm which aimed to help filter out websites with thin, low quality content. Google is constantly, to this day, battling low quality content, with new updates being released routinely to deal with the problem. However, Panda was one of the most significant updates in Google’s history. This was the start of a series of major control checks. Google Panda reduced the amount of poorly constructed, spammy content from the search results pages (SERPs), helping to enable higher quality websites to rise to the top. 2.Penguin Algorithm : Google Penguin was a codename for a Google algorithm update that was first announced on April 24, 2012. Rank Brain Algorithm : RankBrain is a machine learning-based search engine algorithm, the use of which was confirmed by Google on 26 October 2015. It helps Google to process search results and provide more relevant search results for users. In a 2015 interview, Google commented that RankBrain was the third most important factor in the ranking algorithm along with links and content. As of 2015, "RankBrain was used for less than 15% of queries."The results show that RankBrain produces results that are well within 10% of the Google search engine engineer team. 7. Mobile geddon : Mobilegeddon is a name for Google's search engine algorithm update of April 21, 2015. The main effect of this update was to give priority to websites that display well on smartphones and other mobile devices. The change did not affect searches made from a desktop computer or a laptop. Google announced its intention to make the change in February 2015. In addition to their announcement, Google published an article, "Mobile Friendly Sites," on their Google Developers page to help webmasters with the transition. 8. Fred : Google Roll out this update on 7 march 2017.Google’s Fred algorithm update rolled out in an attempt to remove what Google perceived as low-quality results — sites that relied on thin content and aggressive ad placement. Many were affiliate sites, though not all. The majority used content as their primary traffic driver. Ordinarily, we hear Google telling folks to do just that. However, the quality of the content on the affected sites tended to be very low, with highly prevalent ads. You know the sites. You probably avoid them. 9. Helpful Content Update : Google roll out this update in December 2022. This algorithm update aims to help searchers find “high-quality content,” Google told us. Google wants to reward better and more useful content that was written for humans and to help users.
