A Swing check valve is mounted with a disc that allows and stops the flow of fluid. It is like any other check valve which prevents the back flow of any fluid that passes through. The disc moves away from the valve seat to allow the flow of the fluid in forward direction and it returns to the valve seat when the flow is stopped.
