Chief Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, a crusader for the Yoruba Nation, has regained his freedom after a two-year trial by the Beninese government.

Igboho was recently released from protective custody in the neighboring Republic of Benin, according to Tribune Online.

Recall that the popular activist was visited by Hon. Ayedero Shina Peller, a prominent honorable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, who some weeks back paid a condolence visit to Sunday Igboho in Cotonou, Benin Republic, in a genuine expression of solidarity and support. Sunday Igboho’s loving mother, Sikirat Adeyemo, died recently, prompting the visit.

Hon. Peller took to his official Twitter handle to share the encounter, stating, “I paid a condolence visit to Sunday Igboho in Cotonou, Benin Republic, over the demise of his mother, Sikirat Adeyemo.

I urged him to take solace in the fact that Mama lived a purposeful and fulfilled life; she left good legacies behind, one of which is Sunday Igboho himself.”
