How One Phone Call Can Let You Escape Death

Escape death

To escape death makes you think differently.

A regular Thursday morning 1996 checking in at the airport in Lima, Peru, for a one-day business trip to Arequipa in the southern part of the country. With the boarding pass for flight 251 to Arequipa, I had time to take a cup of coffee at a small coffee-shop close to the boarding area.

The weather was beautiful and the fog that sometimes could delay early morning flights was gone.

The pre-boarding was loudly announced in the airport’s old speaker system. At the same time, my mobile phone rang. It was at the beginning of the mobile phone era, and particularly in a country like Peru the cellphone system still wasn’t very reliable.

In the other end of the phone, I had our branch manager from Chiclayo, in the northern part of Peru. By only listen to his voice, I could immediately notice that he had something serious to tell me.

– Señor Nilsson, he started.

– The tax authorities are here right now with instructions to close down the branch if we can’t show the….

The loudspeaker announced the last call for the boarding of flight 251 to Arequipa, and I had to take a quick decision on the spot.

– All right, I’ll take the next flight to Chiclayo and please ask these tax people to wait until I arrive.

With the speed of a blizzard, I approached the young lady at the boarding desk.

– Please help me to change my flight so that I can take the next plane to Chiclayo.

With the boarding card in her hand, she made a phone call to one of her colleagues.

– Señor Nilsson, please proceed to the check-in desk on the first floor, and one of my colleagues will help you.

Less than an hour later my airplane to Chiclayo took off. The bad functioning mobile system didn’t work, and I could not inform my wife or the office about my changed plan.

To Escape Death As Passenger No. 118

Passenger No.118 to escape death

The taxi driver from the airport to the office in Chiclayo had the radio on. The bad quality of the transmission made it hard to distinguish the words from the news in the radio clearly.

“Newsbreak….airplane crash….Arequipa…no survivors…” …..the radio transmission died completely.

But these few words produced an electrical shock in my entire body.

“Could it be… could it be my flight…?”

Arriving at the office I grabbed the office phone and called the office in Lima, and that phone call calmed down a lot of people.

The flight Faucett 251 to Arequipa had crashed when approaching the airport. All 117 passengers and the 6 crew members died.

As my change of flight was made just a few minutes before the gate was closed, I was still on the passenger list. The travel agency and a lot of people, including my family were in a panic mode. All indicated that I was on that unfortunate flight.

My phone call was a like a “call from heaven,” as some people expressed it.

As passenger number 118, it was not my turn today.

How To View Life After An “Escape Death” Situation?

After an ” Escape Death ” situation

There are three different phases you go through when the grim reaper is knocking your door, and he finally lets you escape death.

The first step is just panic, frustration, sadness mixed with happiness that you survived. It’s important to let all emotions come out.

The second phase is more of an objective type. You start to analyze what actually happened, how and why.

And the third and last phase is more of a conclusion chapter, where your mindset will be re-programmed based on the tremendous incident you just went through.

To be grateful – while the emotions still are floating around, the first real conclusion that pops up in your head is gratefulness. Every problem and every hurdle you are facing in your daily life, suddenly become insignificative, when you could escape death.

Live your passion – when you have the opportunity to escape death, you also understand that your time is limited on this planet. Live your passion. Life is too short to wake every morning to a dull day, where daily routines decide how your day will look like. Every boring day is a lost day, and one day less of your life. It was also the moment when I decided to run my own business and live life on my terms.

Treat other people the same way that you would like to be treated – in our time limited life you meet a lot of people. Everything from your loved ones in your family to business contacts, colleagues, and friends. Even if you treat your close family members in a different way than for example a business contact, there is no reason that you should have different patterns to follow. Honesty, kindness, respect, justice, and fairness, are pillars that go for every relationship you have in life. You don’t escape death every time, and you’ll better start to act now. Tomorrow can be too late.

The serious tax problem that caused the change of my flight lost almost all importance when you have the opportunity to escape death.

Click the banner above and join the life of total freedom today. Be your own boss and write your own paycheck. Your life is too short to risk your life for anyone else but yourself and your loved ones.

By the way, we solved the fiscal problem in Chiclayo.
