Explaining Dynamic Range in Photography

We bet that you’ve been faced with the problem of over and underexposed photos for many times, especially when there’s a lot of difference between the brightest and darkest parts of the image, leading to clipping of highlights and shadows.

When this happens, we usually tend to think that the problem is about the exposure. However, it’s only partially true. The thing is that all imaging devices, including our eyes, have something that’s called Dynamic Range.
