Fall Events in North Lake Tahoe

Fall is upon us and with it brings some of the most peaceful and beautiful of the year. We love the empty beaches, uncrowded hiking and biking trails and the feeling that a new season is upon us. Although many of the events we have come to love have been canceled due to Covid-19, there are still some exciting things to look forward to! See below for our complete list of fall events in North Lake Tahoe.

Sparten North American Championship

Where:  Palisades Tahoe
When:  September 25th & 26th
Spartan will once again return to the rugged mountains of Palisades Tahoe — the host of the 1960 Winter Olympics — in North Lake Tahoe, Calif. for the 2021 Spartan North American Championship. The regional championship event is the culmination of the United States and Canada’s National Series, bringing the best obstacle course racers on the continent to the picturesque destination with $62,000 in prize money on the line. The Great Trail Race

Where: Tahoe City Cross Country Center
When: October 2nd | 8am – 2pm
The Great Trail Race is an epic point-to-point route between Truckee and Tahoe City, CA that you can either mountain bike or trail run. Choose one of the two-course options, Elite or Classic. The Elite course adds in more technically challenging terrain and distance. Make the event the goal of your summer training, then dig deep and beat your age-group rivals. More information

Truckee Wine Walk & Shop

Where: Downtown Truckee
When: October 2nd | 12pm – 4pm

Head to historic Downtown Truckee for this iconic fall event! Attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass to sample wine at 30+ venues as well as five food tickets and a map to all participating venues. This annual event brings nearly 1,000 local and visiting participants to sip wine and sample local food tastings while enjoying shopping in historic downtown Truckee. Broken Arrow Sky Race

Where: Palisades Tahoe
When: October 1-3
The Broken Arrow Skyrace, presented by Salomon, is a three-day, five distance event held at world-famous Palisades Tahoe. On October 1-3, 2021 elite and recreational participants will experience an unforgettable trail running experience “where the mountains meet the sky.” The Broken Arrow consists of four iconic distances (plus a kid’s race) that showcase the beauty of Lake Tahoe, the Jewel of the Sierra Nevada. Made In Tahoe Festival

Where:  The Village at Palisades Tahoe
When:  October 9th & 10th | 11am – 5pm
It’s time to break out your happy dances! NTBA is beyond excited to announce that they are coming back stronger than ever with a full lineup of live music at their 15th Annual Music on the Beach Concert Series! Start your 2021 summer weekends off right by listening and dancing to FREE live music performances featuring a variety of genres on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe.  More Information

Warren Miller’s: Winter Starts Now Premiere

Where: Olympic Valley Lodge
When: November 4th | 4pm & 7pm
Head to the Olympic Valley Lodge and get stoked for the season ahead with Warren Miller’s: Winter Starts Now premiere.  This season, the snow will feel a little deeper, the jumps a little higher and the views from the top will be just a bit more inspiring.
