Reason “Colored Dreams” is a haunting record written from the perspective of a man serving prison time for Murder. He’s reflecting from his cell on his past mistakes and apologizing to his loved ones who suffered because of his actions. “Colored Dreams” actually reminds me of HBO’s Barry which explores a similar topic of how a murder impacts the entire ecosystem of the people around the people in front of, and behind the gun. According to Reason, it’s “by far the best video” he’s released in his young career. Since There You Have It is a re-release that originally debuted in 2017, a lot has changed for him since the time he was originally recording material for the project. At the time, he never anticipated “even being able to shoot a video for it just budget-wise.”
