Iraq to get its first religious tourist city

The Governor of Dhi Qar, Mohammed Al-Ghazi, enthusiastically approved the construction plan of a first-ever full-service religious tourist city in the governorate. In an official statement, he declared that the design was crafted with utmost precision and consideration, according to the Diwani Order No. 38 of 2021 committee's ideals and specifications. The blueprint encompasses five essential sectors: a religious sector, educational sector, service sector, entertainment sector, and residential area occupying a total of 370 dunums.

With great zeal and ambition, Al-Ghazi proclaimed that this new Tourist city will provide tourists coming to your ancient city with unparalleled services and amenities such as museums, theaters, restaurants, cafes, cultural centers, and even a college of antiquities and marshes. He aims to develop a unique Religious destination for people from all walks of life to enjoy.

We are thinking that the comment, ".... all walks of life," means that religious pilgrims from the West are welcome.
