Eight Manatees that were rescued years ago are set to be released back into the waters of Florida. The manatees, weighing as much as two Honda Civics, were transported to the airport in specialized crates that monitored their conditions. They were then flown to ZooTampa and SeaWorld in Orlando, accompanied by marine veterinarians. After completing the final stages of their rehabilitation, the manatees will be released into the wild. This is part of a larger effort by SeaWorld Orlando and ZooTampa, who have rehabilitated over 1,400 manatees for release.
