Saurabh Chandrakar, the promoter of the Mahadev online betting app, went from earning Rs 2,000 a month at a juice shop to being involved in a Rs 5,000-crore scam. His Rs 250-crore wedding in Dubai led investigators to alleged hawala operations and connections in the UAE and Pakistan. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to actors Ranbir Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, and Hina Khan in relation to the scam. Chandrakar and his associate are believed to be hiding abroad. The ED has conducted raids and frozen/seized proceeds of crime worth Rs 417 crore.
