Proto-Monty Python Sketch Show Discovered After Being Lost For 50 Years

"The Complete and Utter History of the British Isles," a sketch comedy show created by Michael Palin and Terry Jones in 1969, was thought to be lost forever but has recently been discovered in a broadcaster's archive. The original six-part series led to the creation of "Monty Python's Flying Circus." All but two episodes of the show went missing after it aired, and the surviving episodes were released on DVD in 2014. The missing episodes were found as part of a project by the ITV Archive team, and they have been cleaned and restored for viewers on UK streaming service ITVX Premium.
