Customs agents at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport have seized nearly 400 Primate Skulls and other remains of over 700 animals that were being trafficked to the US. The remains were found in several seizures from May to December 2020, with packages mostly coming from Cameroon. The seized remains were not authorized for sale, and some packages also contained whole animals and arms and hands. Primate skulls are typically hunted for their meat, and the sale of the skulls is a profitable business that generates billions of dollars annually. The remains have been given to the Natural History Museum in Aix-en-Provence.
