Police investigate 88 UK deaths linked to Canada ‘poison seller’

An investigation has been launched into the deaths of 88 people in the UK who purchased substances from Canada-based websites to assist with suicide. Canadian Kenneth Law has been arrested and charged with two counts of counselling and aiding suicide for allegedly selling a lethal substance to people worldwide. Law is accused of sending 1,200 packages to 40 countries and is also being investigated by authorities in the United States, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. The National Crime Agency (NCA) received information in April about UK residents purchasing products from these websites, with 232 individuals identified as buyers and 88 of them having died. The NCA is now conducting an investigation into potential criminal offenses committed in the UK.
