A Robotic Glove developed at Florida Atlantic University is helping stroke survivors relearn how to play the piano. The glove uses AI technology to help pianists feel the correct movements needed to play the instrument. It is designed like a piece of clothing and uses tactile sensors and soft actuators to encase the hand. The glove can detect 12 different types of errors made when striking a piano key and can be customized for each patient's rehabilitation program. In a study, the glove achieved 97% accuracy in playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" with a human subject present.
