US Customs and Border Protection has released Body Camera Footage of Border Patrol agents fatally shooting a tribal member, Raymond Mattia, last month. The footage shows that agents were concerned that Mattia may have been carrying a handgun during the encounter on the Tohono O’odham Nation in southern Arizona. Mattia was shot and died shortly after the incident. The shooting is under investigation by the FBI and Tohono O’odham Nation, and is also under review by CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
