Ukraine war: ‘Extremely fierce battles’, Azov fighters go on trial, Russian strikes

Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister has reported "extremely fierce battles" as troops push into Russian-occupied territory, with Ukrainian forces gaining ground near Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia. However, Russian forces are mounting stiff resistance in some areas. More than 20 Ukrainian prisoners of war went on trial in southern Russia on Wednesday.
