Indian EV Startup River has raised $15m in funding in a round led by Dubai's Al Futtaim Group, bringing its total raised to $28m. The company's first product, the Indie, is an electric two-wheeler designed for solo entrepreneurs and households, with a dual-tone finish and 14-inch wheels, and is available for pre-order at a starting price of around $1,500. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to sell 2,000 to 3,000 units by the end of the year, and aims to be in three Indian cities by then end of 2021, and 50 by the end of 2024.
