Calcutta HC Discharges Widow Accused of Marrying a Man Who Allegedly Tortured His Wife

The widow in an FIR under Sections 498A, 494 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code accusing her of marrying the husband of the complainant was discharged by the Calcutta High Court at Jalpaiguri circuit bench. The court noted that the materials on record, including the complaint prima facie, do not suggest that the petitioner is married to the complainant's husband.
