Most unpredictable move: Premier League giants are set to complete the shocking signing of Chelsea's Mason Mount.

If talks continue to stall, Liverpool could ramp up their pursuit of the England international in a bid to bring him to Anfield when his contract expires in 2024- Caught Offside

CAUGHT OFFSIDE has finally broke it. Liverpool could be in intense talks with Chelsea academy graduate Mason Mount whose contract extension talks with Chelsea seem to be rough on the way.

Jurgeen Klopp who seems to be interested in signing the 24 year old midfielder has this season struggled since the departure of one of the most reliable wingers of the generation, Sadio Mane to Germany side, Bundesliga.

The Guardian's Jacob Steinberg says Liverpool are monitoring the situation closely and have been putting plans in place for a summer move and that Mount has not only attracted the interests of The Reds but also Juventus and other clubs in Italy.

Whereas Jurgen Klopp is keen about signing the English, Chelsea will be reluctant to lose one of their super graduates from the Stamford academy. Whilst, Mount wants a pay rise on his apparent £75,000 per-week salary as he is considered as one of the least paid players in the English Premier League.

In an interview with Bobby Vincent (a news correspondent at london.football ) by Liverpool Echo, one of the questions asked was about what reasons could have forced The Reds to show interest in the signing of Mason Mount and whether the rumours were true. He answered, " I think there are many reasons Liverpool, or any club, should be interested. He’s still young – at 24, his best years are still ahead of him. He’s an established England International. As mentioned above, he’s loved by every manager he works with, so there’s no doubt in my mind that Klopp would love him, too. He’s been Chelsea’s most consistent performer over recent seasons and his return – whether that’s goals or assists – has been impressive. He’s versatile, he can play on the wing, or as a number eight in midfield. There are plenty of reasons."

It should however be noted that  Mason Mount whose contract expires in 2024 was last season way ahead of everyone in terms of goals and assists at Chelsea where he was directly involved in 29 goals for the Blues.
