Charli XCX rocketed to fame with her collaboration with Icona Pop, “I Love It,” which became an international success, reaching the top 10 in North America and Europe. True Romance (2013), her debut studio album, was released that year to critical acclaim but fell short of commercial expectations. In 2014, she wrote the chorus and hook for rapper Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” which became one of the year’s best-selling singles globally and was nominated for two Grammy Awards.
