Traveling Far to College? Here’s Great Alternatives to a Long Car Ride

Branded Content by Cosmic Press

College life is one of the most exhilarating experiences in one’s life and people generally try to spend it away from home. This experience can not only be a great learning experience but also makes one independent and more responsible and also worldly wise. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and must be treated as such.

But what if your college is far from home? Traveling, in such cases, can be exhausting and may seem daunting. Car rides are not for everyone and some people have fear and other problems with long drives. Fret not, we have you covered.

Here are a few great alternatives to a long car ride you can try next time traveling to college or vice versa!

1. Consider Taking the Train

Train journeys can be an experience in themselves. They can be fun, a great way to learn about society and observe life in all its banality and thrill. Train Journeys are even more fun when you have to change trains. If you are lucky enough to be on a picturesque journey, there is little to complain about.

Sometimes, you can even find friends on train journeys. Yes, those movies and books are not unrealistic all the time. Besides, the fact that you get more room to stretch your legs can make them less tiring than car rides.

If you are having second thoughts about the long tedious card journey, trade them for a train ride and open yourself to the possibility of new experiences.

2. Fly to Your Destination

Taking a flight to your final destination can be another alternative to driving a car or sitting in one while someone drives you to your destination. Flights are faster for one and if you book your tickets in time, you can get great deals.

If you are someone who loves spending time in airport lounges, you can even break your journey and take connecting flights and experience airports and all that they have to offer. If not, you can always take a direct flight (in some places, this might not always be an option so you would have to adjust).

But flights are usually a better alternative to people who have an aversion to long road trips.

3. How about a Private Jet?

You may ask if this is a bit too much. After all, isn’t college a time to experience frugality and live within your means and learn the value of money? Well, it is one of the biggest myths that private jets cost a bomb. With a little planning, you can get a deal that might feel too good to be true.

You can fly private cheap in a jet charter. Companies in the arena are trying their best to make the experience great for you without charging a bomb. You just need to plan early!

The Final Word
