Netflix has always higher than shown its power as an original content creator. And this year, it looks to extend it is the band as an award-winning studio. With more than 25 original films on the deck so far, the studio is allowing plenty to keep us entertained in 2020.

Based on J.D. Vance’s memoir of the same name, Hillbilly Elegy follows three generations of an Appalachian family. The movie in that the stars,  Glenn Close and Amy Adams, was partially filmed in the author’s hometown of Middletown, Ohio. Ron Howard directs.
