A devasted Family found out that their baby son’s ashes had been robbed by a burglar during a daylight robbery.

Sue LaDeur, from Illinois, stated that she “could not breathe” when she realized that her son’s ashes were gone -she says that the theft could have take anything but taking the ashes was “irrelevant.”

The LaDeur family stated that the cremated remains were that of their son Billy, who died when he was only 10 days old.

Mrs. LaDeur said that “His ashes and the little memorial, that was all we have”

Elmhurst police stated that they were called to a home in the 200-block of Melrose on Tuesday afternoon for a report of a household burglary.

“It was the police who showed out ‘the dust is disturbed,’ and then I stared at that space,” she said. “I could not breathe. I could not believe it. Of all the items to take. Take everything and take anything as none of it matters.”

The family stated that the few other things that are missing are unrelated.

“Maybe someone thought it had gold in it, is all we can imagine of,” stated Jim LaDeur.

The family can only expect that someone will return their last physical part of their youngest twin boy.

Sue said that “It has no value to anyone but us.”

The CCTV footage of the neighborhood are being checked by the police in order to find the bandit.
