A Couple Unable To Have A Biological Child, Became Parents By ‘In Vitro Fertilization Process'(IVF)

According to the National Infertility Association, one in 8 couples in the United States struggles with infertility and has become one of the most concerning issues in millions of Americans.

The same happened with a couple. Allison and Josiah Hillaker found themselves in the same situation when they tried to conceive shortly after getting married.

Like every other girl’s dream, Allison has also always dreamt of becoming a mom. From the moment she met Josiah, she communicated her desire to have a son and name him Jeremiah.

After falling in love with Allison, Josiah quickly realized that her dream was now his dream, and once both of them got married, the tried every possible thing to conceive but failed in every attempt.

According to the information provided by the sources, both of them underwent testing and discovered that Josiah was infertile, breaking the couple’s dreams of having a biological child.

Josiah and Allison did not lose hope and researched a lot about this issue and later turned their options before settling on adoption.

Adoption might seem a straightforward option for us, but it was again terrible news for the couple.

According to the report, more than 1 million Americans are interested and willing to adopt a baby each year, approximately 18,000 children are available for adoption, and this was the thing which made their dream adopting a child seem nearly impossible.

Days later, the couple heard about a program called the National Fertility Support Center. This program unites prospective adoptive families with frozen embryos, which were unused during the In Vitro Fertilization process.

This is an organization where families that do not use all of their frozen embryos have the option of selling them to another couple who wish to adopt it. That embryo is then implanted in the adoptive mother’s womb. Babies born in this manner are referred to as “snow babies” because they are frozen prior to adoption.

Allison and Josiah were overjoyed upon learning this news and were quickly connected with another couple who were looking to sell seven embryos that were frozen in 2005.

The Hillaker’s fostered all seven and went on to have three implanted a short time later.

One of the embryos survived, meaning Allison was pregnant with her adopted childThe couple welcomed a son, Jeremiah, who is now a healthy, happy two-year-old.
