In light of recent horrifying incidents, it becomes essential to know how to keep your children safe – especially when they are alone. Anthony Constantinou says, “It’s high time we as parents educate our kids about Sexual abuse.” By informing children and educating them about what’s right and wrong, we can decrease the hazard of sexual mistreatment. These five ways can help save your Kid from being ill-treated.

1. Talk to Kids Daily About Their Day at School

Instruct your child to inform you about everything that happened in school on a daily basis.

Build a bond with your kids and make sure you talk with them openly about any topic without feeling uncomfortable.

As a parent, it is your duty to take stern action against any offensive activities by others to your child.

2. Tell Your Kids about the Right & Wrong Touch

Enlighten your kids as to which type of touch is acceptable and which ones are not. Tell them to raise their voice openly if some other person touches them inappropriately. It does not matter if the other person is a relative, family friend or a known individual; teach your little kids how to raise their voice against any wrong touch.

3. Teach Your Kids the Awareness of Their Private Body Parts

This process will seem uncomfortable in the beginning, but it’s crucial to communicate with your kids about their private parts. Enlighten your kids about their private parts and firmly tell them that nobody must touch them there. Some exceptions remain, like when needing help in the washroom, visiting the doctor or while getting dressed.

4. Teach Your Kids About Trust

Speak with your children about whom they and you trust and instruct them that dangers might also come via someone they have confidence in. Tell the kids to notify you immediately if someone touches them inappropriately.

5. Immediately Report About Any Abuse

It is your responsibility as a parent to look out for symptoms that seen abnormal and speak to your children about the same. If you think something might be or is sexually exploiting a child, notify the authorities as quickly as possible.
