Reports say 2018 accused of rape and sexual harassment actor Alok Nath is doing a film based on the #MeToo movement. Isn’t it strange? Directed by Nasir Khan the film is titled #MainBhi (MeToo) and features Nath. Alok Nath plays the role of the judge who “takes a strong stand against sexual harassment”, the tabloid said. The film is said to deal with child molestation, said Khalid Siddiqui, who plays a lead role in the film.

Confirming the same Alok Nath told that the movie has been shot a while back. “Is there a problem? You sound sad that I’m doing a film. It’s a puny role for poor producers, let it release,” this is as he said. The film has Khalid Siddiqui, Shawar Ali and Imran Khan along with veteran actors Mukesh Khanna and  Shahbaz Khan. The movie was shot in Bhopal, Sonali Raut will be seen as the female lead. A quick recall may remind you Nath was one of the big names called out during the #MeToo movement in India, which gained momentum in October 2018.

Alok Nath Plays Role of Judge

It couldn’t have been more ironical than this. Alok Nath remained as the most Sanskari man in Bollywood because of the roles he played. He was accused of rape by one of his colleagues. It was writer-director Vinta Nanda who filed a police complain against “Bauji”, as Bollywood Know Alok Nath as. Together with Vinta Nanda actors Sandhya Mridul and Deepika Amin have also accused Nath of harassment. After the accusation later in January, Nath was granted anticipatory bail by a Mumbai sessions court.

In February, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issue him a six-month non-cooperative directive, for failing to appear before it for a hearing under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) guidelines, and was expelled from the Cine And Television Artists Association in November 2018. The actor was last seen in Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018),
