Danny Kean and his combo perform as part of this popular Summer Concert Series for veterans and the community hosted by the Northport VA Medical Center and sponsored by the Northport American Legion, Post 694.  This year, concerts will he held at a new location, kicking off at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Monsky Field. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be held on the Monsky Field portico.  Admission is free.

Peter Mazzeo made a splash when he arrived on the scene in the mid-1980's as his band played to backed houses almost from the first day. "I thought Blue Eyed Soul was a good name for the band, which focused on performing both rock and soul songs," he recalled during a recent interview. "Combined with a wireless mic and a love for including the audience in our show, it separated us from the pack."  Showtime: 1 pm - 5 pm.

At this collaborative event between two not-for-profit organizations, artists are welcomed to gather and draw along or simply watch as James Beihl does a digital demo of graphic coloration. .This is the first installment of The Friday Night Tea Party, a new songwriter series at Swing The Teapot that is curated by Alan Semerdjian.  A featured local/regional songwriter performs originals and choice covers for the first set at 9 pm and is followed by Alan for the second set of the evening. The goal is to create cross-pollination of music lovers and support a terrific venue that believes in original live music. July’s feature is the wildly innovative guitarist and songwriter Neil Cavanagh. There is no charge for the show.
