How To Get To Tukad Cepung Waterfall?

Location | Jl. Tembuku, Dusun Penida Kelod, Tembuku, Kabupaten Bangli, Bali 80671, Indonesia

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is located around 28 km (50 minutes) north-east of Ubud.

Although a bit far from Ubud town by motorbike, the ride is still quite pleasant with plenty of food trucks and bakeries along the way.

Additionally, due to it being located in the countryside of Bali, there is minimal traffic when compared to other parts such as Kuta or Seminyak.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall from Seminyak, is around 47.8 km ( 1 hour and 30 minutes) away, so it is advised to include this attraction within your Ubud itinerary.

From the parking lot it is only a 15-minute easy-going walk down to the cave where the waterfall is located.

Pro Tip

Due to the fact that the waterfall is still a bit out of the way from Ubud, we recommend you kill two birds with one stone and pair it with Tibumana Waterfall which is located just 35 minutes outside of Ubud on your way back from Tukad Cepung Waterfall.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall Entrance Fee

The Tukad Cepung Waterfall entrance fee is 10k IDR (approximately $1 USD), paid just beyond the parking lot as you begin your walk.

Best Time To Visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Although a relatively undiscovered attraction by Bali standards, the best time to visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall is early in the morning to help avoid the clutter of tourists arriving during the later hours.

Furthermore, arriving in the morning sometime around 9 a.m will allow you to witness the sun perfectly aligned with the cave, creating a spectacular display of sun beams perfectly illuminating the waterfall.

Pro Tip

On the way down to the waterfall there is a little Warung selling some traditional Balinese cuisine, chips and some of the most mouthwatering Pisang Goreng (fried banana) that we had tasted all trip.

However, if you arrive too early these Warungs might not yet be open, so in that case just don’t forget to grab some Pisang Goreng on the way back up.
